A commission for a Warhammer 40K stye battlesuit - a variant of a previous one I designed for the same customer. Not sure how authentic this looks - never drew much WH40K before and never immersed myself in much of that franchise.
This is the first digitally inked mecha I've done. Took a very long time, but it doing it this way does have many benefits over my usual paper+ink route. hopefully it will become faster as I gain more experience.
This is really neat I never liked how stiff and blocky the technology in Warhammer 40k looked - Here you've managed to make something that looks high-tech and engineered while still keeping the core aesthetic. Very cool
this would NEVER happen in 40K. why? its too brilliant and the Mechanicum is too minded to worship technology and blueprints to actually make new tech. that and the writters wont move the plot forward.
No if the IOM does something like get bits and pieces of different STC technologies like lets say the dreadknight and combine them all then you've got a battlesuit or what ever the IOM will call it like I dunno Harbinger
I'd see those being called either Harbinger as you said or Reapers. now add the Imperium's love for melee weapons, you could get some massive new weaponry for the Marines. I can already see the UltraSmurfs loving to use those in "Steel Rain" deployments in drop pods then just go on a melee rampage on the Tau. I would love to see what the mechanicum would do if they would get their hands on the blueprints for the Railguns as well XD
Is the person in the suit a guardsman or someone who went to the schola
