Second CGed practice picture; this one being more ambitious than the last. The primary focus was the mountains and the trees, which I aimed to improve upon the last CGed picture. Overall, I think the picture came out pretty well, although some things still don't look right. But I really dont know how to fix that right now.

The image took some 5-6 hours, which consumed much of my day. :( But it was good practice, the next attempt should be faster now that I know how to pick most of the colors.

EDIT 1: Toned down the colors in the FG a bit as well as added some other crap.

Characters (c) me and their respective owners.
Art and designs by me.

Overall I think the picture looks great. I think if you add a blueish hue to the back ground to add atmosphere it could help. Also, Sometimes when I try to tie a piece together I'll add a layer that covers the entire piece in one color with a low opacity. (like sunny yellow) Then that makes the entire piece become somewhat unified. But again, awsome work! Backgrounds are always the hardest part!

Looks like a mishmash, the distant mountains and trees are great, but the rest look as if they've been pasted from something else. The digital medium is too apparent in this piece.

You did a black outline for the characters and nothing else, it makes them seem out of place.
Also, the perspective of the characters, in comparison to the piece is slightly off.
Your light sources- especially on the girl in the dress- is completely off. Discolored and in the wrong direction.

Weird anatomy, too.
The man in the armor- his face is caved in a bit, and his legs are too short.
Work on referencing.
If you draw realistically, then you wouldn't have so many problems as you do in anime.
Also, for the background, you don't have to stick to just for-middle-and back layers. It just looks a little flat and lacking.

This sure is a marvelous pic, probably what i enjoy the most of this pic is the details in the coloring of the mountains and in the tree's follage, it sure makes them feel quite alive.

The only part that seems to botherme is the shaow of the tree, or at least that's what i think it is where the characters are standing. I'm not sure exactly why, but it feels kinda off, maybe it's just me, or but it doesn't feel like it blend as well as the other shadows in the productiong.

Either way, this pic is wonderful, keep up the good work man, pics like this proof that all your efforts do worth it!
