Yoko from the new anime "Grenragan" or "Gren Lagan" (whichever). I've yet to see the anime, but a friend of mine suggested that I draw this girl. So whatever, needed more CG practice, anyway. (Redrawing the CC picture, looks too fudged up to waste 3 hours on it)
I'm still hving trouble drawing how the legs are attached to the body when they are bent, thus again the legs look awkward. The CG came out ok. Trying some new stuff with Painter X and Photoshop in unison. Added some minor details to the clothing and couldn't find a good reference for the Rifle so i kinda stuck a bunch of tubes together. o_o 3.5 Hours in Painter X, 30 minutes in Photoshop. It's an anime that worths to be checked, it has the old school Super Robot Flavour (aka Will being the best and ultimate Power Source and unrealistically awesome mecha combinations
If you don't mind some matters that many perfersionists or too serious people would complain of it, then i really recommend you to check it when you have time.
Anyway, let's focus on the pic now.
I think that there are 3 outstanding parts on this pic:
1) The Hair, those light lines that are following the whole flow of the hair does give it a lot of life, which is quite a great detail.
2) The Rifle, well, you have a lot of experience on Sci Fi/Futuristic Weaponry, so that isn't much of a surprise, but one can't help but admire that beauty. The Scratches on it were a nice detail too.
3) The Leather Clothes, they look quite convincing.
Mentioning anything else would be keep on mentioning the obvious and pointless, so i'll just end my comment here with a: "Good Job".
